★ Our Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) earned a high rating for its impressive Super AMOLED display, robust build with IP68 rating, and innovative dual front cameras, offering a premium experience in a mid-range package.

Given its age, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) is no longer a current model and would primarily be found on the used or refurbished market. It could be a suitable option for those seeking a budget-friendly smartphone with a good display and decent camera for casual use. However, potential buyers should be aware that it runs an older version of Android (upgradable to Pie) and may not receive further software updates, which could pose security risks and limit app compatibility. Consider its 3000 mAh battery, which might not last a full day for heavy users, and the mid-range processor, which is adequate for daily tasks but not demanding games. Ensure the device's condition and battery health are thoroughly checked if buying used.
