★ Our Verdict

The ZTE Blade 10 Prime offered a compelling set of features and performance for its sub-$200 price point at launch, particularly its display, camera, and inclusion of NFC, though its battery life and lack of software updates were notable drawbacks.

The ZTE Blade 10 Prime was a strong contender in the budget smartphone market upon its release in late 2019, offering a good balance of features for its sub-$200 price. It's suitable for users seeking a basic Android experience for everyday tasks, social media, and light gaming, without breaking the bank. However, as an older model running Android 9 Pie, it will not receive further software updates, which is a significant security and feature consideration. Potential buyers should weigh its initial value against the lack of ongoing software support and potentially diminished battery performance due to age. It might be a good option for those needing a very inexpensive secondary device or for users with minimal demands who prioritize upfront cost over long-term software longevity.
