★ Our Verdict

While offering solid features like IP67 rating and a good display for its time, the omission of a fingerprint sensor and the use of an older processor made it a mid-range option rather than a true flagship successor.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, released in 2015, is now an outdated smartphone. While it once offered a good balance of features like IP67 water resistance and a vibrant Super AMOLED display, its performance, camera capabilities, and software support are significantly behind modern standards. It runs on an older version of Android, which means it will not receive current security updates or support many newer applications. This phone is only recommended for collectors or those needing a very basic, inexpensive device for calls and texts, understanding its limitations. For daily use, even budget smartphones released in the last few years will offer a far superior experience in terms of speed, camera quality, and app compatibility. Consider refurbished options only if the price is extremely low and expectations are minimal.
