Is the earpiece speaker on your mobile phone not working properly? Instead of taking it to a repair shop, you can try replacing the earpiece speaker yourself. With a few tools and some patience, you can have your phone’s earpiece speaker working like new again. Follow these step-by-step instructions to replace the earpiece speaker on your mobile phone.

Step 1: Gather the necessary tools

Before you begin, make sure you have the following tools:

  • Small screwdriver set
  • Plastic pry tool
  • Tweezers
  • New earpiece speaker

Step 2: Power off your phone

Turn off your mobile phone and remove the battery if possible. This will prevent any accidental damage while working on the speaker.

Step 3: Remove the back cover

Use the plastic pry tool to carefully remove the back cover of your phone. Be gentle to avoid any scratches or damage.

Step 4: Locate the earpiece speaker

Once the back cover is removed, locate the earpiece speaker. It is usually located at the top of the phone, near the front-facing camera.

Step 5: Disconnect the old speaker

Using the tweezers, carefully disconnect the wires or connectors attached to the old earpiece speaker. Take note of how it is connected for when you install the new speaker.

Step 6: Remove the old speaker

Using the screwdriver, remove any screws holding the speaker in place. Once the screws are removed, gently lift out the old speaker.

Step 7: Install the new speaker

Take the new earpiece speaker and place it in the same position as the old speaker. Secure it with the screws you removed earlier.

Step 8: Reconnect the wires

Using the tweezers, carefully reconnect the wires or connectors to the new earpiece speaker. Make sure they are securely attached.

Step 9: Reassemble your phone

Put the back cover back on your phone and make sure it snaps into place. Insert the battery if you removed it earlier.

Step 10: Test the new speaker

Turn on your phone and make a test call to ensure the new earpiece speaker is working properly. If you hear clear sound, congratulations! You have successfully replaced the earpiece speaker on your mobile phone.

Remember, if you are unsure or uncomfortable with any of these steps, it is always best to seek professional help. But with a little DIY spirit, you can save time and money by replacing the earpiece speaker yourself.
