★ Our Verdict

At its release, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus was a top-tier flagship offering cutting-edge technology, a superb display, and a highly versatile camera, making it one of the best Android phones available.

If you're considering a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus today, you'll be looking at the used market, where prices are significantly lower. While its Super AMOLED display and dual-aperture camera still hold up reasonably well for casual use, be aware that software support has ended, meaning no new Android versions or security updates. Battery health is a major concern for older devices, so factor in a potential battery replacement cost. Performance for everyday tasks remains decent, but it will struggle with demanding modern games or apps compared to newer phones. It's a good option for those seeking a budget-friendly device with a headphone jack and expandable storage, but prioritize units in good condition with verified battery health.
