★ Our Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) offered a compelling mid-range package with a great display and innovative triple camera for its release year, though it had some compromises like the microUSB port and plastic frame.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) was a solid mid-range option at its launch, particularly for those prioritizing a vibrant display and a versatile camera system. While its triple camera was a novelty then, current smartphone cameras have significantly advanced. If considering this phone today, it's important to note it runs an older version of Android (upgradable to Android 10) and may not receive further software updates, which could pose security and app compatibility issues. Its 3300 mAh battery might struggle with modern power demands, and the microUSB port is outdated. It could be a budget-friendly option for very light use or as a secondary device, but for a primary smartphone, newer models offer better performance, camera capabilities, and software support.
