★ Our Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) offered a solid build and good camera features for its time, but its HD+ display resolution and aging chipset were notable drawbacks compared to competitors, limiting its overall value and performance.

If you're considering the Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) today, it's important to manage expectations as it's an older model. It could serve as a very basic, affordable secondary phone or for light usage like calls, messaging, and simple apps. Look for refurbished units in excellent condition, but be aware that software updates are limited to Android 10, and security updates may have ceased. The camera was decent for its class, and the Super AMOLED screen is still a plus, but performance for demanding tasks will be slow. Consider its lack of USB-C and fast charging, which are standard on most modern phones. For a similar price, newer entry-level phones or other refurbished mid-range devices might offer better performance, longer software support, and more modern features.
