★ Our Verdict

The iPhone 8 Plus was a highly capable phone at its release, offering strong performance and a great camera, though its design was starting to feel dated even then. Its age and limited future software support reduce its current appeal.

The iPhone 8 Plus, while still functional, is an older model that no longer receives the latest iOS updates, which can impact security and app compatibility over time. It's best suited for users on a tight budget who prefer the classic iPhone design with a physical home button and Touch ID, and who don't require the absolute latest features or prolonged software support. Consider it if you need a reliable, albeit aging, Apple device for basic tasks, but be aware of its limitations regarding future updates and modern app demands. For a more future-proof experience, newer (even budget) iPhones or Android alternatives would be a better investment.
