★ Our Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S offered a solid package for its budget price point at launch, particularly excelling in battery life and featuring a convenient fingerprint sensor, despite having a modest HD display and camera performance.

As a discontinued model from 2016, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S is no longer available new from official retailers. If considering a purchase, you would likely be looking at used or refurbished units. Be sure to thoroughly inspect the device for any physical damage, battery degradation, and ensure all functions are working correctly. Given its age, the Android 6.0.1 operating system might not support all modern applications, and security updates are no longer provided. It could serve as a basic secondary phone or for users with very light usage needs, but for a primary device, newer budget smartphones offer significantly better performance, camera quality, and software support for a comparable or slightly higher price.
