★ Our Verdict

The Honor 8X offered a compelling package for its price at launch, with a large display, decent performance, and good battery life, though it was held back slightly by the microUSB port and average low-light camera performance.

The Honor 8X, while a solid mid-range phone in its time, is now several years old. If you're considering it today, understand that it runs an older version of Android and may not receive further software updates, potentially impacting security and app compatibility. Its performance is suitable for basic tasks and light gaming, but don't expect flagship-level speed. The camera is adequate for casual photos in good lighting. It could be a budget-friendly option for a secondary device or for users with minimal smartphone demands, but newer budget phones offer better cameras, faster charging, and more modern software. Consider its age and lack of ongoing support before purchasing.
