★ Our Verdict

The Nokia Lumia 625 offered an accessible entry into 4G LTE with a large display for its time, but its low screen resolution and limited RAM were significant compromises even for its price point, hindering overall performance and user experience.

The Nokia Lumia 625, launched in 2013, was designed as an entry-level 4G LTE smartphone with a notably large screen for its era. While its 4.7-inch display was a highlight, potential buyers should be aware of its modest 480x800 pixel resolution, which results in a lower pixel density compared to contemporary devices. The 512MB of RAM and dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor mean it's best suited for basic tasks, web browsing, and light app usage, rather than demanding games or heavy multitasking. Its Windows Phone 8 operating system, while user-friendly, has a significantly smaller app ecosystem than modern Android or iOS devices, and the phone is now discontinued, meaning no further official software updates. If you are a collector of vintage smartphones, appreciate the classic Windows Phone interface, or need a very basic device for calls and texts, it might be a niche option. However, for everyday modern smartphone use, its specifications are severely outdated, and newer, more capable budget smartphones offer a far superior experience.
